Mego Toy Heaven

OK, I know I said I would be off for a couple of days but seeing I'm going to be at the Toy Fair I couldn't help but post about this fab site I've found, Megomuseum. Now, I can't really remember Mego toys but I doubt any toys I'll see at the Toy Fair will be as mad as these...

First up - of course - is the Fourth Doctor....



... that is the Fourth Doctor as played by Barbie's boyfriend Ken. I see he has the same problems I had when I was a teenager. It was embarrassing to have my trousers end by my ankles too. The bigger boys at school found it hilarious.

They would have been laughing on the other side of their face if I was friends with the next fella...



Who would argue with someone that cool. Action Man adverts used to be so proud of their dolls 'realistic gripping hands'. Do you think the Mego Fonz box boasted about 'Realistic Thumbs'

One thing Fonzie could do was attract the women and what other 70s sex symbol would he want to share his Happy Days than the New Avenger's Purdy...



Unfortunately, the Mego Purdey looks more like Peggy Mitchell. "GRANT!!!"

Perhaps that's what I'll find at Toy Fair - a complete range of EastEnders action figures. Forget Bratz or Power Rangers. What the world needs now is a collectable Dot Cotton, with realistic brown mac...
